Not every dog likes every other dog or person anymore than any of us do. If we are working on a behavior issue, training for distractions, training for competition or have a dog who is nervous around other dogs or people we want to be able to work and walk without fear of a dog or human we cannot control suddenly in our space.
Courtesy, respect and social norms dictate that we do not approach or touch someones child. Why is it different for dogs? The same respect and courtesy should be afforded our dogs
